Using powerful storytelling to signal a new era of impact and ambition, the launch positioned the zoo
as a science-led conservation organisation, a global catalyst for change; made possible by the charity’s
people, supporters, peers and collaborators.

Activated through a social media campaign, live digital-screenings and
a London Film Premiere co-hosted by wildlife 昀椀lmmaker Lizzie Daly and
Chief Conservation O昀케cer Dr Rebecca Biddle; the launch, which itself was
somewhat revolutionary for the zoo sector, moved beyond traditional ‘zoo’
storytelling to present mission-driven activity as urgent, collaborative, and
human-led.

It brought together our people, the national media, key stakeholders, conservation partners, and sector
leaders to celebrate real-world conservation in action, and highlight that good zoos are relevant and vital
for both humans and nature alike.
Across our digital channels, the launch reached 80,488 people, whilst strategic PR activity generated 28
pieces of media coverage across regional, national, and specialist trade publications: elevating Twycross
Zoo’s voice and clearly de昀椀ning the scale of our mission.
