188,874 MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS
A key element of delivering on our goals is communication. From spreading the word about the work that
we do, to providing those actionable steps for guests to take in their own lives to protect wildlife. These
interactions are important, and we log these through what we call “meaningful conversations”. We de昀椀ne
a ‘meaningful conversation’ as one that incorporates themes from across our Conservation Strategy from a discussion about our work with a 昀椀eld partner, to highlighting an actionable step for guests to
make towards sustainability. A conversation had with a guest that links back to conservation is delivered
and logged. Our Education Rangers have been logging these conversations for a while, and with the
introduction of our Volunteer Programme in 2025, we now have our Guest Engagement Volunteers on
board and spreading awareness.
As a result, we’re proud to share that, across 2025, 188,874 meaningful
conversations were had between guests and the team. This is a significant
increase from 94,702 in 2024, and 57,126 in 2023.

“[My son] asked the ranger inside the attraction at least 20 questions including
where the butterflies come from, how long they stay in their chrysalis for […]
and many more. Each single question was answered with as much patience
and interest as the question before and Meg [Education team member] showed
a genuine interest in making my son’s experience exceptional.”
