CARED FOR MORE
THAN 500 ANIMALS
In 2025 we cared for a total of 82
species, 354 individual vertebrates and
149 invertebrates (excluding our ants
and butterflies)
We ended the year with 75 species (excluding
butter昀氀ies), of which 57% are threatened with
extinction by the International Union for the
Conservation of Nature’s Red List (IUCN Red List).

We also celebrated a total of 27
vertebrate births and hatches
Which included four Humboldt penguins, one
昀氀amingo, four lorikeets, three vasa parrots,
one coppery titi monkey, one De Brazza’s
monkey, one bonobo and one vicuna. As part
of our ongoing e昀昀orts to maintain sustainable
European populations we transferred 104
animals into and out of our zoo!
